Arlene DeMaris is a poet and a freelance writer specializing in health and wellness. Her poetry has appeared in Bellevue Literary Review, Connecticut River Review, Maine Review, Radar Poetry, and Naugatuck River Review, Her work has also been featured as The Missouri Review Poem-of-the-Week. She was the recipient of a 2023 Nutmeg Poetry Award and the 2024 Connecticut Poetry Award, both from the Connecticut Poetry Society. She holds an MFA in Writing from the Bennington Writing Seminars of Bennington College, Vermont. She lives in Connecticut with her husband. Instructions for Use is her début collection.
