Our second anthology, The Book of Donuts, was co-edited by Jason Lee Brown and Shanie Latham. The collection includes 54 poems by 51 poets about that favorite pastry, the donut. The poems cover a wide variety of donuts—traditional ones such as jelly, glazed, powdered, sugar—and less well-known ones such as beignet, choux à la crème, and sufganiyot.

We are thrilled to have a wonderful introduction by Grace Cavalieri, host of "The Poet on the Poem" radio program from the Library of Congress, now in its 40th year. She is also a poet with 19 books and chapbooks as well as a gourmet cook and the author of two cookbooks: The Poet’s Cookbook: Recipes from Tuscany; and The Poet’s Cookbook: Recipes from Germany.

Congratulations to contributor Nicky Beer whose poem The Most Bizarre Beauty Queens of the 1950's was featured on Verse Daily.
